Our Journey
Founded in 2014 Iron Revolution Gym has quickly become a household name in strength sports here in Australia. From our humble beginnings of 2 power racks, a bench press and some old homemade strongman equipment in an empty warehouse to our current set of featuring one of the best equipped strongman and powerlifting gyms in the country complete with 24:7 member access.

All members at Iron Revolution gym have the option to take up one of our specialist powerlifting programs which is solely focused on one thing; making you the strongest version of yourself possible.
Through intelligent programming, correct lifting techniques and a well thought out plan you expect to see yourself lifting bigger weights in no time.

Our powerlifting programs are suitable for lifters of any level. From those setting foot in the gym for the first time right through to national and world level competitors we have you covered.

Strongman
Since the day we first opened the doors in August 2014 Iron Revolution has been the go to place for all Victorians wanting to start their strongman or strongwoman journey. Here beginners and the countries best training side by side to carry, drag, press, pull and hoist the huge variety of implements we have here at the gym.
By joining the Iron Revolution Strongman Program you gain access to:

Powerlifting Workshop
The Iron Revolution Powerlifting workshop is your introduction to powerlifting training teaching you the basic principles behind the 3 competition lifts ;
– The Squat
- Learn the keys to building the best squat for your body type to maximise leverage and strength for big weights
- How to properly set up & cue the squat for maximum strength & performance gains
- Cover the correct set up for competitions and how to understand the commands
– The Bench Press
- Learn the best bench press set up method for your body type to build a huge bench
- How to properly set up & cue the bench press for maximum strength & performance gains
- Cover the bench press commands and why they are important for all lifters
– The Deadlift
- Learn the differences between conventional deadlifts and sumo deadlifts and other variations along with which one is best for you
- How to properly set up & cue the deadlift for maximum strength & performance gains
- Cover the competition basics and why they are important for all lifters
The Powerlifting workshop is suitable for those new to strength training and also to those with more experience who would like to take their training and results to the next level by further refining their technique in the competition lifts.
This Powerlifting workshop is a practical one with theory on each of the movements included in the workshop handout which includes two 8 week Powerlifting programs, one for novice lifters and one for intermediate lifters. All attendees will also receive our welcome to powerlifting training pack which includes answers to the most common FAQs we get including purchasing equipment (belts, wraps etc), how to start competing and what to expect at your first competition.
During the course of the workshop you will be introduced to the key lifts outlined in the programs and how to apply the competition lifts into your training to get you strong.
Strongman Workshop
The Iron Revolution Strongman workshop is the perfect introduction to strongman training. The workshop is an in depth practical one covering the principles involved the main strongman movements. These include;
– Carrying Events
Strongman Carrying events can include the super yoke, Farmers Walk, Zercher Carries, Husafell Stones, Kegs, Sandbags and more
– Overhead Pressing Events
Strongman Pressing implements vary but can include the Log, The axle, The monster DB, Blocks and natural stones, Circus Barbell, Kegs and more
– Loading Events & Odd Object Lifts
If it can be lifted it can be loaded. Loading events can vary from stones, kegs, sandbags, tires, even old household items such as washing machines and dryers!
The strongman workshop is suitable for those new to strength training and also to those with more experience who would like to take their training to the next level by incorporating strongman movements into their regime.
